By the end of the program, students will be able to enter a business setting, whether at an established firm or starting a business themselves, and take a multi-media and technology project from beginning to end.

  • This course is a project-oriented, hands-on course designed to introduce seventh graders to the various components of computer literacy and to build upon the computer literacy skills previously acquired. The ultimate goal of this course is to ensure that students understand that the computer is to be used as a tool to accelerate learning, communication and productivity. The study of computers is accomplished through a higher-level use of Microsoft’s suite of software tools, the learning of basic technical terminology, individual and group discussions culminating in projects involving word processing, database and spreadsheet, and illustrated through a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. Students acquire these concepts individually and cooperatively through group work.
